Last month's Ascension Party had perfect weather and over 3,000 attendees.  Today, the Fund in the Sun Foundation announced that the event was so successful that they will now be able to surpass last year's donation of $250,000 to a variety of organizations whose purposes and activities are of interest to the residents of Fire Island Pines.  JustCircuit has sponsored Ascenion Party since its inception three years ago.

The following letter was sent to supporters by Eric von Kuersteiner, the founder of Fund in the Sun Foundation:

Dear Friends and Contributors:

Because of your support, along with a complying Mother Nature, and over 3,000 celebrants enjoying a day of dancing in the sun, Ascension 2008 was a huge success!  I'm proud to say that not only was Ascension weekend a blast for all of us in the Pines, it helped us reach our financial goals for our local charity, the Fund in the Sun Foundation.

Last year, we wre able to donate more than $250,000 to worthwhile causes, and this year, thanks to you, we will be able to exceed that amount. We contribute to groups whose purposes and activities are of interest to the residents of Fire Island Pines.  We are delighted to be offering financial assistance and underwriting to The New York City Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, Friends in Deed, Camp Heartland, The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, Live out Loud, The Nature Conservancy of Long Island, Dancers Responding to AIDS, Dress for Success, The Trevor Project, The Hetrick-Martin Foundation, Friends of the Fire Island National Seashore and Answer.
